š Bmw Heads Up Display Not Working

Location: Washington, D.C. iTrader: ( 0) iDrive Display will not turn on! My relatively new (at least to me) 2014 X5 iDrive display will not turn on. I quickly ran out for lunch and the display was just blank. No boot screen, nothing. The radio and Heads up Display are functioning as expected (as are parking sensors).

Not sure why, but the center console in my 2016 JCW (controls navigation, audio, telephone etc) keeps rebooting, seemingly at random, sometimes many times in a row in a single day, sometimes not for a few weeks. When it gets bad, I lose all data such as stored navigation sites and bluetooth connection.
Rotating the HUD simply rotates the image, not the screen. Oh crap. Guess I was wrong. Well thatās ok. You could remove the screen, remove the polarization layer, and now you'll have a HUD that you can ONLY see with polarized sunglasses ;) Took me a while to find settings that work with my oakleys.

Just had windshield replaced by local glass company and now my heads-up display on 2016 Escalade is distorted (slanted, not blurry or double vision, just slanted to the right significantly enough to be annoying and harder to read). The heads up display in the BMW X5 is known to intermittently fail; if this is Your case (it works sometimes, and not others) -- there is no known diagnosis or fix, other than total replacement. A number of different drivers have reported takeng it to a dealership, who have been unable to replicate or resolve the issue.
If your BMW heads up display is not working properly, there are a few things that you can do to try and fix the issue. First, you will want to check the fuse box to see if there is a blown fuse. If so, replace the fuse and see if that fixes the problem. If not, the next step would be to check the wiring harness for any loose or damaged wires.
Advantages of the Head-Up Display. With the Head-Up Display, you can still keep your eyes on the road. The information is projected directly into your field of vision on the windshield. This is the main disadvantage of the Head-Down Display: By lowering your gaze, you take your eyes off the road for a fraction of a second.
