⢠3 yr. ago Sad-Drive First time with Hokas - Wow! Review Been running consistently for the past 10 months or so averaging around 30km per week (nothing too crazy). My first official running pair was Nike Infinity react and I used them last year and did around 600-700kms in them.
The upper is super comfortable and adjusts really easily,ā says one Fleet Feet reviewer. HOKA designers zeroed in on the snug, fast fit of the Mach 4 by attaching the super-thin, padded tongue to a semi-bootie construction within the shoe, adding to the easy adjustability of the Mach 4. Plus, a removable molded EVA sockliner helps you

Heavy Supination: Hoka Gaviota. Saucony Omni. Brooks Addiction. Start out with the Light to Moderate category and if that isn't working, move onto the Hoka Gaviota. If that still isn't good, then it is time for the big and hard boys. r/RunningShoeGeeks.
Like marshmallows. These are cushioned, but not squishy like the oofos. They are more structured and feel like they'll last a lot longer. If you are familiar with hokas, you can expect the same kind of feeling from the Hoka recovery slides. Curious how you knew it was time to retire your pair of oofos.
After just a couple of days the left sandal was torn at the back near the loop for pulling it on. A day later the same happened to the right sandal although I was much more careful with it after tearing the first one. Never happened to me before. Iām extremely disappointed. This is not what I expected from $130 sandals, especially from Hoka.
I hear plenty of great things about Hoka and know many people love them. I tried the Arahi 3 while training for a marathon and loved them for the first ~25 miles on the shoe but from then on have had a pretty negative experience. Mine rubbed blisters on runs longer than 8 miles and caused foot and heel pain.
This is also in conjunction with the fact that Hoka is 5mm drop whereas you are likely used to a higher drop but I obviously don't know that for sure. I don't think it's something the physio can definitively say that the Arahi won't work for you but the above suggests why it may not. That being said, it could work for you and it could help your
The new balance more V3s are an excellent alternative but skew a little between a Clifton/ Bondi replacement. The new balance 1080 is a reasonable alternative if wanting to replace the Clifton but maybe skew faster. Both are far more durable ( like double the miles)than the Hoka alternatives but the ride is not quite as sweet
Anecdotally speaking, building up the leg strength for standing all day comes with time and practice. Personally I hate wearing Hokas around as a daily shoe because they feel awkward for anything not running, and the squishiness of the foam is really unstable and makes my foot hurt trying to do micro adjustments.
Tried moving to the Hoka One One Cavu and have been disappointed. Super light but just never felt comfy, I think I needed more support. Ended up going for Brooks Ghost 11 due to the 90 day no questions money back guarantee, as I was gutted having spent so much on my Hoka.
Walking Lover. CdS from Leon to Santiago, June 16, 2016 to June 30, 2016. I am considering possibly using Hoka One One trail runner type shoes for my June Camino on the Le Puy. Has anyone out there used these, and if so, how did they hold up? I hear they are great for plantar faciatis, which I do not have.
